Crazy Week

O.k. Thanks for the updates on the playoffs. I heard about the volcano in Chile, but I don't know much about it. There are a lot of things goings on here in Chile. I kind of had a crazy week. My companion got his mission card stolen. Then the machine ate my card, so we don't have money from the mission. The lights and the hot water got cut off, my companion's bed broke and we ran out of minutes on our phone. So these next few weeks will be super interesting. Some other stuff happened, but I can't even remember it all. Then Amoar attended church, so I have two people with three times at church. One just needs to get married and the other we just have to wait for his mom to come back and we can get him baptized.

Yesterday I was walking down the road and there were these three women and they are like, "Now this is the Elder I want to get married too and all this stuff, but they knew it had to be after the mission. It was pretty funny. My comp and I had a good laugh.

So about the Skype call. I will know better next week. It's going to be a weird day that Sunday because it's our stake conference so I have to go to Vina for that.  So I am guessing it could be at like three or something like that, but I would have to talk to my comp. I will know more next week. I think I have one more transfer in Con Con and then I think the next transfer I will be going, but you never know. It's getting colder, but we are just wearing sweaters still, so it's not too bad. Tell Kylie Happy Birthday and ask Eric if he knows a family named Pena in Salvador.  Have a good week and thanks a ton.

Losing our Investigators

So this week the miracles came quick and went pretty quick too. The new guy we found the last time we meet, well, he was being super weird and he looked up on the Internet about the Mormon's so that wasn't good. He said he saw things he didn't like and told us this church wasn't for him after all.

Who is in the play offs? Like what teams? And yes, I get fed everyday in this area.  So Jessenia is doing good. We have a really good bishop so that helps.  We just have to get Jessenia some friends in the ward. There are a lot a people her age, but they just have their little groups. You know how girls are.

The Batts are already moving out? That isn't good. I thought Dar would stay around a little longer. So we got a few people who are close with the lesson parts, but they need to get married and that will be the hard part. One lady is really like a member. She has a testimony of the Book of Mormon better than a lot of members.

So the lady in the mission office had us write President K a little card, so that must mean they are getting close to being done in July.  I am ok with the change that will come up.  So Saturday we were with Jessenia. Her friend was having problems, so Jessenia bore her testimony and invited her to church.  So we will see how that goes, but she is not in our section so the other elders will have a new lady.  We gave them another investigator like two weeks back.

So this week I got kissed by a drunk guy! That was interesting!  I really don't like the smell of wine and that stuff, so it was pretty gross. I don't even know what I should say after that. I don't really know what else happened this week. It was  a slower week, but hopefully this one will be better. Have a good week.

Great Week

Thank you for the package. I didn't know you sent it so that was quite the surprise when it got here. So thank you very much. Also I hope Dallas and Mark had a good birthday and all went well with that. I heard President Monson has something wrong with him. So you know what it is? I also heard that people aposed President Monson when they asked for his sustaining vote. I don't know what they are doing, because when he went up to talk, I felt so strong of the feeling that he is the Prophet.

So yeah, this week was good. Yesterday was a day of miracles. We had three investigators attend church.  One was participating a lot, just as much as the members were. We just have to get her married and she will be good.  Then we were walking and someone stopped us in their car and asked where the church was. He was a member, but the lady with him was not. So we are going to look for him tomorrow. Then we were looking for this one guy and he just happened to be outside working and I saw him. I thought he lived in a different house, so if he wouldn't have been outside we would have missed him. He is really good.  Sounds like the thing he needs the most is the gospel, well what everyone needs the most, but he is ready to hear it now.

The interviews with President K were good, short but good. I think this was my last interview with him. Maybe I will have one more, but I think this was my last one.  It's getting that time where President K doesn't have much time left since he is done the end of June.  It was funny. My comp asked him a lot of questions, and he said he sounded a little ready to go home.  I can't blame him. Being a mission president would be hard.

I can't believe Tiffany Toomer is getting married in a month. I want to know what is going on in Gwen's head! Good for Tiffany.  That is about all this week.  Have a good week.

Watching General Conference

I heard the announcement about the new temple in Bangkok, Thailand. I knew you would be pretty happy. They need one here in ViƱa now.  I got a few questions. What was the note that Elder Uchtdorf passed during the talk and how come President Monson didn't close the conference?  I asked my Bishop that was a seventy and he said he thought he was sick. He didn't know if it was cancer or something else, but looking at him, he did looked different. He still did a good job. It's just different from a couple years ago.

We got one investigator that is good. The rest are o.k. I guess. We have two investigators, but the one lady needs to get married. She said it is in her plans, but a few years down the road. She is really good.  She has been talking to sisters on the internet that are in Salt Lake, and she went to all the Saturday sessions of conference. I got to watch all the sessions, but they didn't have it in English. I can understand it in Spanish, but it's just different because you can hear the English translation behind the Spanish, so it's hard to separate them. My comp is from Texas. He is really cool. I like him. I knew him before. He was in my zone in Los Vilos, and he is really funny. I might be here when he ends the mission, but I don't think I will  be. I think I will leave a transfer before he goes home, but I really don't know. I will either be here like seven months, or leave in two more changes.  My companion is just really good and we have fun. My leaders of the zone are kinda weird,  but I got a good comp so that is all I can ask for. I have interviews with President Kahnlein tomorrow. This may be my last ones with him or maybe I will have one more before he leaves the end of June.  I think after that it will be President Diaz which I think he will be good. I think he can give a little different way to see things in the mission.

I don't really have much to say. Not much really happened this week.  My favorite story from conference was the one given by Elder Holland. My favorite talk was the one with Shiblon and the Sons of Alma. I hope you have a good week.
