So I am in Mosiah in the scriptures reading in Spanish. I can understand the scriptures some, but other people is super hard because they talk so fast. It is just crazy. My town is one of the smallest I will be in in this mission. It is by the ocean so i think that has to do some with it being so cold. However, I am adjusting better now with the cold. I think the six weeks in the Mexico summer messed me up with the winter here. So next winter shouldn't be as bad. The lady we taught, Raquel is 71. I have now given her two blessing and another blessing to a young kid who is a convert. He comes teaching with us all the time. He is way cool. So I go from never having given a blessing to three in a week.
That is really sad about Ryan Martin coming home from his mission. You can't base your mission on three weeks. Like there are days that are dang hard. I have already learned so much and grown so much. I couldn't imagine that I would learn this much anywhere else, even with the crap my companion gives me.
Yesterday we baptized Raquel and guess who got to do it. Yup, me. I know, I was so excited! It was a great thing. I was going to baptize her, then I wasn't because a member was. Then Sunday I was again. It was super weird at first, because she steps in the water and says, "It's too hot!" So we cool it down and she like won't come in says it's too hot again when is wasn't. The she said "Who doesn't want me to get baptized! Like someone was talking in her head. I realized I witnessed the power of Satan. He is real and his power is strong, but we finally got her down in the water and she calmed down. I baptized her and after the spirit was so strong. She looked like she had so much peace. It was so cool. The power of Satan is no match for the power of God. I witnessed that yesterday. It was incredible.
Now I have questions. Send me pictures in the package if you haven't sent it already. You didn't tell me what do everyone do with the old missionary agendas after the transfers. Keep them or throw them away? What about the backpack? If I bought one, would that be breaking a rule and being disobedient? The shoulder bags look better, but they don't feel so good, They screw with your back. So if it's breaking the rules, I will stick it out with the shoulder bag. I just didn't know. Have a good week!
Love
