August 4, 2014

To answer your question, I wanted you to send me  the underarmor bottoms, gloves and ear muffs for next year,  because I know by the time I get them it will be warm.  But for next winter,  I will use them everyday and if you haven't sent the package yet, could you throw in some pictures of the family.  Just like the latest ones and just a few if its not to much to ask.  Thanks a ton. Can you ask dad and the boys what they did with their old mission agendas.  Did they  keep them or throw them a way or what?  To answer your questions about the laundry, I have a momomita,  She does my laundry,  but I would rather just do it myself.  However, I don't have access to a machine .  No, I am not starving.  The culture down here is a huge lunch.  It's like two or three in the afternoon.  Then you are good to go.  I  buy snacks if i do get hungry. My apartment is fine. Nothing to fancy.  It is missing some windows, so when I shower it is cold.  Other then that, it is fine. That is cool about Alyssa getting her mission call to England,  It is crazy that out of all of us, only two of us have been called foreign.  England would be fun, but super hard too,  The walking depends on the day and depends how many lessons you have that day.  I did a change last Tuesday,  Every lesson fell through,  We walked all day, and the area has huge hills.  It was hard. Los Villos is pretty flat,  But some of the hills were steep.  It was like when we go hunting.
Well,  don't freak out, but this week we were doing service and I fell through the members roof.  I am fine,  I anded on my feet.  I just scraped up my arm and my face a little bit, but it could have been worse.  My testimony of garments grew a ton because where they were, there was not a scratch on me.  So the next day I had to call the President.  Not the idea i had for my first call with him, but I said my testimony grew and he said he had a testimony of wise decisions.  I couldn't tell if he was joking or not.  He is a pretty serious guy, but it wasn't my fault.  The stuff they use to build here is super sketchy.  Um, about my companion.  He is always on my back for something and these last few days I get super frustrated with him so fast.  But I am learning to be patient.  Today the Shrams took us to see a different part of the ocean.  It was super cool and way nice of them.  I am glad your staying busy.  Have a good week.

Love,

Elder Gillies
