Farewell to President & Sister Kahnlein

This week we couldn't really find our people that we are teaching,  but we are trying to look for new people that can be ready for baptism. I know they are out there, we just have to find them.  With the "Cup of America"going on, it makes it harder, but Chile is still in the game and it will be done this week. So it was fun to see everyone dressed up, but no one will let you in when the game is on.

It sounds like you had fun with Boston and Trey.  They sound like they are busy and that everything is good.  I got to go to a good-bye thing in the stake yesterday for Brother & Sister Kahnlein. They are leaving in two days.  The card I had to write was for President Diaz, the new mission president. So here we go again.  The farewell party was good.  They had a lot of music and a little video of Christ and then they bore their testimony at the end. I think they were sad to go, but I think happy at the same time.  It is not an easy calling to have.

We had to give a lot of blessings this week. There is a girl in the ward who is having a difficult time because her dad is giving her a hard time about going on her mission and all that.  So I am glad I didn't have that problem.  I have always had your support.  Elder Zabellos should come and speak to us on the 13th of July, but I don't know for sure. I probably won't know until the day before or a few days before. I had exchanges with Elder Horton, my companion, from the CCM. It was good to be with him again. It was a huge difference from the CCM and fun to see the progression we've made. It's weird. Some days are cold and others are fine. It doesn't get light here until about nine-thirty in the morning, so it's interesting. The alarm goes off and it seems like four in the morning. I am doing good.  Good luck with your new calling Mom.  Have a good week.

Love,

Elder Gillies
