Getting to Know my New Area

Ok, so something is wrong with my debit card. I bought one thing for my companion, but it was $36.00, so I don't know why it took out $116.00. That wasn't my charge. Do you think something stole my card again? I didn't take that money out.  I should still have all that money in there.  Can you try and figure it out for me? Also can you send me some pictures of the basement when it gets finished.

I have a scripture for March Madness. It's D & C 133:48. Read the first part until it says apparel. Then you have to say, "Go Utes!" It will be funny.  My companion has been out a little over six months. He is from the south of Chile. He is a good kid, and we get along pretty well,  My sector is a ward. There are about 100 to 130 members who attend. This sector is big which is nice. There's a lot of work to be done here. My mission leader is really good. I really like him.  He has a good family. The sector is like Vina, but smaller. It's good though and I really like it.

Elder Vina stayed in Salamanca with a new missionary that doesn't speak much Spanish so he is going to learn a lot of English. There are quite a few people that are ready for baptism here, but there are little things that are stopping them. Also if we can get a few people married it would be good. I live in a house in this area. I haven't been in a house since my very first sector, so it's good. They have some weights here, so that is nice. They aren't that big, but better then nothing.

This week we had a zone conference. I knew one missionary in my zone. I don't know very many missionaries now. All the ones I know are in the house now. So this Sunday, we will have another stake conference. This week President Diaz came up to the zone conference. Sister Diaz talked more then he did. She made all of us cupcakes. It was really nice of her to do that.

I am just getting to know the sector and getting to know the members. Other then that, not much has happened. Sorry this email is short. I can't remember what else happened this week. Have a good week.Tell Grandma Gillies to get better.

Love,

Elder Gillies
